Operations Manager

Hope Church is a growing, diverse church at the crossroads of four growing GTA cities, aiming to fulfill the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. In support of this mission, the Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all the facilities and related services of Hope Church meet the needs of the church, it’s ministries, partners, tenants, and guests. The Operations Manager will be accountable for overseeing building and property maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, including security and cleanliness. The Operations Manager is also responsible for managing and responding to the needs and requests of long-term and short-term tenants and rental inquiries, as needed.

  • Mature follower of Jesus Christ with character consistent with Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Timothy 3:1-7
  • Wholeheartedly embraces the mission, vision, and doctrine of Hope Church Mississauga
  • Has a desire to grow personally and professionally, and to see and help others do the same

COMPETENCE

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be well-organized, able to design and maintain systems and procedures
  • Must possess technical knowledge of building services and construction trade disciplines
  • Critical thinker, adept at problem solving, multitasking, and adapting to new challenges
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is comfortable with and capable of working without supervision
  • Training and/or experience in facility management is an advantage

CONTRIBUTION

  • Monitoring facility performance, and coordinating the completion of immediate and future maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of the property and facilities
  • Supervising maintenance technicians, contractors, and volunteers where applicable
  • Creating or maintaining facility use policies, procedures, and compliance, in view of applicable local and federal regulations and suggestions, in order to ensure a safe and functional environment for the church, it’s ministries, partners, tenants, and guests
  • Lease and rental management, administration, and accounting
  • Coordinating with Ministry Directors, Ministry Coordinators, partners and guests to manage space and resource needs and requests for all types of events on the church calendar
  • Ensuring the facility is presentable and secure on Sunday mornings and that any acute facility needs are quickly addressed during weekly services.
