Director of Operations
The Director of Operations will provide spiritual leadership, stewardship, and operational oversight in the areas of Hope Church Mississauga’s facility, financial planning, human resources and charity compliance. This position requires a strong alignment with the Church’s beliefs, vision, direction and distinctives.

Reports: Facility Manager, Office Administrator
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Human Resources & Compliance
- Develop and implement Church policies and procedures, including the Church’s Staff Handbook, updating them as necessary, and ensuring they are abided by.
- Oversee, as needed, the hiring and termination of staff in conjunction with the Council of Elders.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of government filings.
- Managing records and documentation in compliance with CRA requirements.
Facility & Property
- Ensure facility policies and procedures are in line with government standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with the Financial Advisory & Stewardship Team a long-term strategic development plan for the facility and property.
- Direct the Facility Manager on implementing a comprehensive maintenance plan for the facility and property.
- Oversee all safety and security matters of the building and premises.
- Manage tenants and rental contracts and relationships.
- Recruit, coordinate and spiritually lead volunteer teams as needed for the skilled use of gifts and experience.
Finances
- Oversee all financial operations in conjunction with the Financial Advisory & Stewardship Team and the Office Administrator to maintain financial integrity, security, stability and strategic readiness.
- Contribute to the annual strategic budget process across all ministries ensuring that facility, ministry, and budget planning is aligned.
- Oversee insurance policies and group benefits programs, working with brokers to ensure sufficient coverage and manage annual renewals.
- Implement compensation policies in conjunction with the Financial Advisory & Stewardship Team and the Elders.
- Mentor and develop staff reports to foster professional growth and ensure effective operations.
- Create and manage an Operational Dashboard for ministry effectiveness among staff, Elders and Deacons.
- Support the financial priorities of the Deacons Ministry.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or degree in business, facility management, or a related field preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in executive leadership.
- Proficiency and experience leading teams.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.

- Works well both independently and collaboratively.
- Exceptional administrative and organizational skills.
- Decisive and able to make quick, effective decisions.
- Proficient with computer systems and office software.
