Facility Manager

The Facility Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all the facilities and related services of Hope Church meet the needs of the church, its ministries, partners, tenants, and guests. The Facility Manager will be accountable for overseeing building and property maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, including security and cleanliness. The Facility Manager is also responsible for managing and responding to the needs and requests of long-term and short-term tenants and rental inquiries, as needed.

  • Mature follower of Jesus Christ with character consistent with 1 Timothy 3:8-13
  • Authentic lifestyle demonstrating consistent character and spiritual growth, and a commitment to help others have the same
  • Agreement with Hope Mississauga’s doctrinal statement
  • A commitment to the mission, vision, and leadership of Hope Mississauga
  • A commitment to care for, minister to and pray with the staff and volunteers within the ministries that you work in, as well the congregation you serve

COMPETENCE

  • Excellent oral and written communication skill
  • Must be well-organized, able to design and maintain systems and procedures
  • Must possess technical knowledge of building services and construction trade disciplines
  • Critical thinker, adept at problem solving, multitasking, and adapting to new challenges
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is comfortable with and capable of working without supervision
  • Training and/or experience in facility management is an advantage

CONTRIBUTION

  • Coordinating or completing the maintenance, repairs and upgrades of the property and facilities
  • Organizing and tracking progress of renovations, maintenance, projects, inventory, and expenses
  • Ensuring our facility and related policies are in safety and regulatory compliance with local and federal regulations and applicable recommendations
  • Monitoring facility performance, planning and budgeting for future repairs and scheduled maintenance
  • Lease and rental management, administration, and accounting
  • Supervising maintenance technicians, contractors, and volunteers where applicable
  • Coordinating with Ministry Directors, Ministry Coordinators, partners and guests to manage space and resource needs and requests for all types of events
  • Creating or maintaining facility use policies, procedures, and compliance, in order to ensure a safe and functional environment for the church, its ministries, partners, tenants, and guests
  • Manage long term tenants and short term rental contracts and relationships
